Cooking with Nora Chiles
Nora chile is a common ingredient in paprika, so these peppers are great for adding to your own favorite dry seasoning mixes. Nora pepper is a staple ingredient in Spanish cuisine, so use them profusely in your authentic recipes like paella, romesco sauces, and rice dishes.
Just be sure you save some for getting creative with too! Think nora potatoes, octopus, or chickpea stew. Pair these peppers with rich, nutty fishes, nightshade vegetables, and tasty soups.
To reconstitute, soak the chiles in hot water for 10 minutes, or until they get soft. Or toast in a hot, dry pan and crush into flakes.
Here are just a few ideas for making use of these flavorful little chiles:
Meats and seafood: nora peppers are ideal for seafood and meat recipes like paella, chorizo, and ceviche. Add to your marinade before grilling or roasting chicken, fish, or pork.
Sauces: create a tasty romesco sauce for fish, veggies or pasta. Make a delicious romesco rice and use as a bed for roasted veggies like cauliflower, eggplant, and potatoes.
Dry seasoning: crush toasted nora chiles and blend into dry seasoning for meat, fish, or veggies.
These are just a few of the flavor-filled ways you can use Burma Spice nora chiles. We’re counting on you to come up with some more!
